It is best to avoid foods high in starch such as bread, lollies, pasta and biscuits. Instead opt for foods such as fresh fruits and carrots which can assist in plaque removal and contain high levels of minerals and vitamins.
- Avoid Tobacco – Tobacco use is a risk factor for oral cancer, and it can also cause small pockets to form around your teeth. Additionally, it can contribute to poor circulation which can negatively affect gum health.
